Adapters fit into the tie rod socket, 1/2" drive ratchet or breaker bar fits the drive end

Can work for old/new style inner tie rods

For Ford and most for Chrysler with rack and pinion power steering, Use 520 socket alone.

For Ford FWD with rack and pinion power steering, Use socket + 1-3/16" (30mm) adapter

For Ford FWD and most for Chrysler with rack and pinion power steering, Use socket + 1-5/16" (34mm) adapter

For GM and for Chrysler FWD equipped with Saginaw steering gear, Use socket + 1-7/16" (36mm) adapter
